Food Trucks' Future
Food Trucks' Future

Three hours of business a day. Nine years roaming in public sites. Five days a week in the most challenging city to operate in 20 cities in America. Why are food trucks still seen as a new culture struggling between dreams and challenges in Boston?

about.

Food Trucks’ Future is a journalism project that explores the issues shown in last year's Food Truck's Nation report, which studies 20 cities in the US and ranks Boston as the most challenging city to run a food truck regarding regulations and procedures. My project discusses vendors' stories and challenges of running food trucks in the Greater Boston region. Why does the report say Boston has strict regulations? What makes it hard for owners to run their food trucks? Does the city support the food truck community? What are the social and cultural significances of these mobile kitchens in the city?
